Class of 2016 and the Bible

Topic EducationTopic Religion

Every year at Beloit College they publish a list that tells us something about the mindset of students entering college. There are a lot of things on this list that just make me feel old, but there’s one item that makes me very sad. Our public schools have become so anti-Christian that students don’t know the Biblical origins of phrases like “Forbidden Fruit,” “The writing on the wall,” “Good Samaritan,” and “The Promised Land.”

The Bible is an important historic document. It has influenced history like no other book. Schools should not be afraid to acknowledge this fact.
