Taking a Strong Stand Against Terrorists

Let’s compare Mitt Romney‘s and Barack Obama’s statements on the Libyan embassy killings. First, the President:

“We’re working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats … and make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.”

That is a weak statement! We do not work with foreign governments to secure our own territory. We do it ourselves. The Libyan government (which doesn’t really even exist right now) will do nothing to help us.

Mitt sounded a stronger tone when he made his first statement:

“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

Romney made a much better statement than Obama. We should never sympathize with the enemy, especially an enemy like the Muslim Brotherhood. They only understand strength and Obama has made our entire country look weak.

Obama jetted off to Vegas and the attacks on our embassies continue. You can’t lead from behind Barack!

South Carolina Republican Sen. Jim DeMint puts it best, “Governor Romney is absolutely right. There is no justification for these deadly attacks and we should never apologize for American freedom.”
